Skip Schiappa founded the company in 1978 and is still its president and daily operations supervisor. He is an OSHA-recognized “competent safety” person, a historical renovation specialist, and the son of an Italian mason — which is a reasonable summary of why the copper and masonry details on our projects get the attention they do.

Low-slope roofing is unforgiving. There is nowhere for water to go if a detail is wrong, and almost every failure traces back to a termination, a penetration, or a drainage assumption that was never tested.
Cape Cod Roofing & Siding has built a national reputation as a flat roofing specialist across rubber, PVC and TPO systems — on condominium associations, retail, hospitals, schools, churches, restaurants and industrial buildings throughout Massachusetts. We perform core tests and inspections before specifying, so a replacement decision is based on what the assembly actually contains rather than on what is visible from the parapet.

No. The name reflects where we started. We work throughout Massachusetts and the islands — the commercial reference list runs from Boston and Watertown down through the South Shore, Plymouth, Wareham, New Bedford and Fall River, out to the Cape, Nantucket and Martha’s Vineyard.
Yes. Skip personally oversees every project. Our team works to written specifications, with close supervision throughout and a thorough review on completion. He is the daily operations supervisor, not a name on a truck.
No. We do not accept any money until the project is due to start — the single exception being special-order materials, which are non-refundable and have to be paid for when ordered. We would rather you booked early and paid later.
No. We quote the best method of repair or installation for your particular need, and we do not believe in the hard sell. Sometimes the answer is a repair, a coating, or leaving it alone and revisiting in three years — and if that is the answer, that is what the quotation will say.
We are not interested in being the low, middle or high bidder. We bid projects as we believe they should be done. If our cost is outside your expected budget, call and ask why — there is a reason for every line, and knowing it makes comparing bids much easier.
A lifetime workmanship guaranty, specified in writing. Additional manufacturer warranty options are available on most systems — and because we hold installer certifications from more than thirty manufacturers, we can usually offer the enhanced warranty that requires a certified installer.
